The tuna/eels living in the wetlands and streams at ZEALANDIA – Te Māra a Tāne were captured and released downstream beyond the sanctuary. As part of the Roto Kawau/lower reservoir restoration project, rangers worked alongside mana whenua, Taranaki Whānui, to carry out the translocation. View it here.

I was stoked to be involved with the team behind this webseries, which confronted New Zealand's colonial past by exploring the stories of Pākeha turning their feelings of guilt into positive action. I learnt heaps from the DoPs about how to set up stunning interviews, and interview techniques from hugely perceptive and insightful director Kathleen Winter.

Fresh out of my Science Communication course I was snapped up by my mentor and NHNZ executive producer Judith Curran to be the production assistant on a local Dunedin show following the mahi of wildlife rescuers and rehabilitators around Otago, with a focus on the Dunedin Wildlife Hospital. Highlights for me were getting behind the camera to film a giant petrel release after his hospital treatments, and following a wild kiwi chase in the deep bush of Orokonui Ecosanctuary. Huge thanks to Judith and NHNZ for this awesome oppurtunity!

The infamous 48HOURS film festival! Always a weekend of pressure-cooker fun which thankfully worked well for our team this year with 'Big Boys' taking out Dunedin City Winner along with a few other awards. This short was about two imaginary friends forced to move in together when their real-life friends become a couple.

Another blast of a weekend making this short for the 48HOURS film festival! This one followed the trials of a reptile (inhabiting the body of a 22-year-old man) who'd been exiled from his home planet and was struggling to make friends on Earth. Another great honour to win the Dunedin City Finals and Best Use of Genre in the Grand Finale, along with other categories!
